Who is Nancy?

Nancy Gakere has been a travel enthusiast as long as she can remember . Initially inspired by her dads travels in her younger years and the excitement that each trip brought to the household both before and after. Her earliest dream career was to be a flight attendant because she saw this as the key to seeing the world . However she ended up moving to the US, pursuing a business degree and thereafter becoming an accountant and working in the entertainment industry. Travel then became a tool to escape from the 9-5 any chance she got. Even as a broke student or newly employed graduate, she scrapped whatever she could together and found any affordable destination. By sharing her experiences on social media, she gained a following of travel enthusiasts who were inspired to expand their travel palette. She also defied stereotypes traveling as a mom, often incorporating her kids during school breaks . She eventually started a travel blog to keep from answering the same question multiple times and that’s when Fancy Nancy Travels ( FNT) was born. A hobby was slowly transforming into a business. She decided to bring the incredible travel experiences to others by curating amazing trips to her favorite destinations , taking the stress out of planning and making travel accessible , affordable and attainable.
