A trip to Las Vegas is one of those quintessential American experiences. From the bright lights of the Strip to the world-class museums, this little Nevada city is everything you’d expect it to be and so much more.

Las Vegas is in a league of it’s own, you can visit Las Vegas 5 times and get 5 different experiences. By far the most exciting area to stay in Las Vegas is the Strip. While there are other nice spots around town, I highly recommend that newbies stay in the heart of the action.

Vegas has some of the world’s best nightlife, and you have to bring your dancing shoes. If you’re traveling with friends that love to party, the party bus is the most lively way to get around town. Riding in a Party bus is not only fun but it also adds a touch of sophistication to your lifestyle. You can enjoy by traveling into the city or hopping into local clubs. Party buses are the perfect solution for the ultimate fun; check out my previous blog on renting a party bus in Las Vegas; www.fancynancytravels.com/2020/09/27/renting-a-party-bus-in-las-vegas/

To ensure the well-being of guests, various attractions and exhibits throughout Las Vegas have reduced hours or temporarily closed to contain the spread of the pandemic. After being on lock-down for several months we decided to cautiously venture out to our favorite weekend getaway all the same. Not quite ready to fly for obvious reasons, we took a road trip instead. It’s a 4-5 hr drive from Los Angeles depending on the lead foot of the driver!

An awesome stop just before you get to Sin City is Seven Magic Mountains; a two-year public art installation by renowned Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone. It is located approximately 10 miles south of the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and St. Rose Parkway in Henderson, Nevada. The installation site is a short distance from legendary Jean Dry Lake where Michael Heizer and Jean Tinquely created significant sculptures in the 1960s. Once you get to Vegas, choices are endless, whatever floats your boat is available.

During the current pandemic, we decided to play it safe and stayed in a suite that came with a private poolside cabana to enjoy the pool safely. Our lounge area had a massive screen with the premium package, so we were able to catch up with endless games.

Despite the current restrictions, Sin City still remains a fun destination with plenty of cool things to do. Just be smart and be safe. You know the drill: wear a mask, wash your hands, keep your fingers out of your eyes, and respect the space of others. If you want to spend time in your hotel room to maximize social distancing, that’s cool, too. It wasn’t the usual Vegas experience but the best we could do under the circumstances.
